Jeannette Temple has over twenty-five years in land use and development as a consultant and within the public sector at the City and County of San Diego.

The majority of Ms. Temple’s land use work was gained as a Supervising Development Project Manager at the City of San Diego’s Development Services Department, responsible for shepherding development projects through the hearing process at all levels of decision makers. Some of her more notable projects have included Civita (Quarry Falls) mixed use community, Sycamore Landfill Expansion, and the Castlerock residential project. She also assisted in setting up the Affordable/In-Fill Housing and Sustainable Buildings Expedite Program in Development Services. Regardless if the project is building a dream home in La Jolla, redevelopment of an infill neighborhood, or master planning an entire community, Ms. Temple is known for her no-nonsense approach and ability to discover options for her applicants. She has a reputation for understanding the big picture in government land use regulations and being able to get things done.

In the Department of Public Works at the County of San Diego, Ms. Temple managed the Private Development Construction Inspection Program, which is responsible for engineering and stormwater inspections of horizontal land development in the unincorporated area of San Diego, with an operating budget of $3.9 million dollars. Under her tenure, the program won a national award for their stormwater inspection program that partnered with developers to maintain compliance and reduce risk from the State Water Board’s Regional Water Quality Control Board. Jeannette also led public utility industry meetings where she strived to make necessary infrastructure work streamlined and predictable.

Ms. Temple holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from San Diego State University in Public Administration. She has benefited from numerous leadership academies at the City and County and has positive relationships both inside and outside local government.
